Rethink Carbon
Land management is a complex challenge that requires integrated approaches. It is essential that land is used in a sustainable way that benefits both the environment and the wider community. However, it can be difficult for land managers to access data and understand the options available to them, and consultants can be costly in both time and money. In addition, communities often feel they are left out from land management decision-making. Rethink Carbon is a climate-tech startup that has developed a software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform that can be used by stakeholders in the land management sector. Our Rethink Carbon platform aims to provide land managers and government agencies with tools to collaborate and manage land use more efficiently. It enables informed land use decisions, engages communities and helps land managers make better decisions for carbon capture and storage while also generating significant benefits for biodiversity. The platform visualises current and future land use, calculates carbon emissions and sequestration for numerous scenarios and makes communication between stakeholders simple so that everyone can work together towards a common goal.
