Embedded in our ethos is a commitment to the improvement of our rivers, wildlife and communities, delivered via expert ecological services; providing the best solutions for both our clients and the environment. Our work not only helps clients meet regulatory requirements but also contributes positively to broader environmental goals and community well-being. Our location in the Forth catchment and unique relationship with both Forth Rivers Trust and Forth District Salmon Fishery Board, coupled with our in-depth knowledge of the Forth basin, allows us to provide bespoke services at competitive rates. We are specialists in the provision of ecological clerk of works (ECoW), protected species surveys and mitigation, non-native invasive species control, and fish habitat and electrofishing surveys. Location data services that we provide revolt around data collection and collation. We perform scientific studies and data analyses, drone surveys for footage and photogrammetry including its processing, help with setting up GIS and public or fieldwork survey design, flood modelling including potential natural flood management implementations, storymapping and web apps, and the design and delivery of environmental education and training programmes.

Dundee Satellite Station

Dundee Satellite Station

Dundee Satellite Station Ltd is a commercial ground station operating from the former RAF Errol airfield and offering a range of services to the UK and International Space sector.

Dundee Satellite Station Ltd is currently setting up ground station and R&D facilities at the former RAF Errol airfield.

We offer a range of services to the UK and International Space sector including reception and transmitting facilities in VHF, UHF, L-band, S-band, X-band and Ku-band as well as a range of consultancy services around this from RF through to data processing software, and integration to existing systems.

We can provide quality support from your initial design phase looking at comms options and link budgets, through to "premium" ground station support (e.g. signal analysis and recording, orbit determination, etc) during critical phases such as LEOP or following anomalous behaviour, and on to cost-effective routine operations for data up and down links.

In current operation are 3.7m, 2.4m, and two 2.8m tracking antennas. Future plans include a 3.0m geostationary antenna and an upgrade to 5m for ones of the tracking systems. Further down the line we are already in discussion with other organisations with a view to providing an integrated service offering greater geographic coverage over more of Europe and with additional benefit of multiple-site resilience.

We can host 3rd party equipment and, subject to planning and civil engineering approval, 3rd party antennas on the site.

In addition to these spacecraft-operation support services we are now receiving Earth Observation data in real-time with a view to supporting both time-sensitive commercial applications as well as providing a broad range of archive data access for research and general public interest purposes.

Forth Rivers Trust

The Forth Rivers Trust is dedicated to engaging people with the rivers and wildlife within the Forth catchment area while conserving these vital ecosystems for future generations. Based in Edinburgh, the Trust's efforts span over 3,000 km², covering 13 river catchments and numerous coastal burns. This area is home to about 25% of Scotland's population and a diverse range of wildlife. Their work includes educational initiatives, public awareness campaigns aimed at protecting and enhancing water habitats, and conservation projects ranging from erosion control, riparian tree planting and peatland restoration to fish barrier removal and in-stream habitat improvements. In all of its projects, location data plays a crucial role which is amplified by the organisation's collaborative nature. From fieldwork design and public data collection to a variety of analyses and visualisations used for public engagement, data sharing, and reporting and evidencing for action. Though already collaborating with a variety of organisations on both location data and beyond, the Trust is always looking for opportunities to work together with you!

What3Words

what3words is a simple way to talk about precise location. We have divided the world into 3 metre squares and assigned each one a unique combination of 3 words - a what3words address. This means that anywhere in the world can be found using 3 easy-to-remember and easy-to-share dictionary words.

The free what3words app and map-site are used by millions of people, businesses, governments, charities and NGOs around the world to improve efficiencies, enhance customer experience and keep people safe. Our core technology (Public API and offline SDKs) is built into geographic information systems, car sat-navs, navigation apps and command and control software. Checkout pages accept what3words addresses for customer deliveries and hotels, travel guides and businesses provide their what3words address on contact pages and booking confirmations to help visitors find them more easily. Importantly, >80% of UK emergency services use what3words to help them locate and respond to 999 incidents.

Vahanomy Ltd

Vahanomy Ltd

At Vahanomy we believe that we can bring equality and transport justice through data-driven solutions that allow stakeholders to make date informed solutions. Autonomous cars (and affordable electric cars) will democratise transport and bring transport justice by offering mobility to everyone, irrespective of the barriers/inequalities people face. Electric vehicles and autonomous vehicles will result in a reduction of CO2e. Besides this, there are many reasons for the adoption of both technologies. The challenges that lie ahead of us before we give up fossil fuels, the current high cost of electric vehicles ownership, fears about the range and, inadequate charging infrastructure and later followed then with the driverless/autonomous vehicle the overwhelming fear of losing control of not having a steering wheel. Vahanomy will provide data-driven services to the economy of the future that will have Smart Cities enabled by IoT and electric vehicles and autonomous vehicles. Electric vehicles: Through our data-driven solution we are working on improving the charging infrastructure, parking solutions, optimising the power source that the electric car will be and making the best use of the owner infrastructure to optimise return on investment. Smart City Solutions: We will provide Internet of Things (IoT) based solutions to work with local governments to deliver enhanced services to citizens, efficient delivery of local public services and to deliver transport justice. Autonomous vehicles: We are working on services based on autonomous vehicles and services for owners and fleet operators of autonomous vehicles, addressing the challenges they will face in the last few decametres (it's no longer the last mile solution!).
